He had a hand-written sign that said: \u201cI am blind. Please help.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"549\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mmmts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/The-Readers-Perspective.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2834\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mmmts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/The-Readers-Perspective.jpg 549w, https:\/\/www.mmmts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/The-Readers-Perspective-300x194.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 549px) 100vw, 549px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Passers-by hardly took notice of the boy and there were only a few coins in his hat.<br>A man who was passing by stopped beside the boy. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then looked at the signboard, took it and wrote a few words on it. \u201cHere you go\u201d, he said and placed it where everyone could see, and then walked away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soon the hat began to fill up. The young boy was pleasantly surprised and happy. Later that day, the man who changed the signboard came by. He asked the boy, \u201cHow are things?\u201d The boy recognized the man\u2019s voice and said, \u201cHey mister, were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The man said, \u201cI wrote what you wanted to really tell them. It was the same thing that you meant, but only written in a different way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He had written: \u201cToday is a beautiful day. But I cannot see it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This short story indicates that communication can be made more effective by exploring a different perspective. You can see more results if you do so. This is especially true in\u00a0<strong>written communication.<\/strong>\u00a0In\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmmts.com\/business-writing-skills-training.htm\"><strong>business communication,<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>it is essential to think from the perspective of the reader.
